Gotta love going to the farmer's market in the spring and summer. I bought some yellow potatoes, fresh peas, zucchini, asparagus, almonds, and fresh baked pretzels. I've never bought fresh peas before. Do you have a favorite recipe for them?

Blackberries weren't available yet at the farmer's market, so i had to get them at the grocery store.

I added some of the peas to a lemon chicken pasta w/ olive oil and parmesan cheese.

and made a
blackberry cobbler with some of the berries.

serve warm. add a dollop of whipped cream if you'd like, but we like ours plain.

Oh that all looks so yummy!
Fresh peas have a distinctly different taste from the frozen ones. I always boil mine with a pinch of salt, a pinch of sugar and a sprig of mint.... oh divine! As a child it was my job to shell the peas ready for Sunday dinner (that's lunch in UK), and I usually ended up chewing on the sweet pea pods.
I have to invite myself to dinner one day. You are really good with your hands.
I love simple pastas like you did here. They're simply divine. No wine?
Oh the blackberry cobbler looks so good and the peas with the pasta makes a lovely simple meal.
