I got a new lens for my birthday so I went to the Ferry Building today to test it out. It's a 50mm fixed lens. I'm having fun playing with it though it'll take some getting used to. I've always had some sort of zoom lens so having a fixed lens is new for me. I'm loving it though, I've become lazy in my creative photography and this is getting me back into the zone.

Oh, goody-goody gumdrops for you, Mad! My 100mm macro lens is what I'm trying to get used to right now, so I know the feeling. It's like a steep learning curve for me. But clearly you have figured yours out perfectly. Congratulations.

thanks for your good wishes for my new grandtwins, they are doing well, 5 days old now! And so sweet. Mom and dad are recovering, there have been some sleepless nights and there will be more, but everyone is surviving so far!
