Line Dancing in Jessie Square

Every Thursday and Friday, from Memorial Day to the end of September, Yerba Buena Gardens hosts free events in the park. Usually during lunchtime and sometimes in the evenings.

Tonight we kicked up our heels and tapped our toes and learned a few line dancing moves.

From YBG's website:
DATE: June 2, 2011
TIME: 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
LOCATION: Jessie Square
TICKETS: This is a FREE outdoor program. No tickets or reservations needed.
Come scoot your boots and learn to line dance! Cowboys and cowgirls of all ages and levels will shout “Yee-haw!” as members of the Vima Vice Squad teach you how to kick up your heels and line dance. So mosey on down and join us as we shuffle step, hitch step and sailor step our way through an evening dancing in the wild outdoors.

That yellowish building directly in front of us with the 2 windows on each floor is the building Jimmy works in. Unfortunately though, he wasn't able to come out and play.

Learning some new steps.

The teachers.

I almost wish they'd do line dancing every Thursday, but I'm also curious what next week will bring!
