11/9 Gratitude: the rain stayed away till precisely the right moment

When Julie came up to visit this morning, the sun was shining brightly and there was not a cloud in the sky. We had some lunch, walked around the city, did some window shopping...can you believe 2 girls out in the city and we didn't buy a single thing!...split a piece of cake. But by 4pm, it was cloudy and windy. Not a sign of sun in the sky. As I walked back from seeing julie off at the train station, i was 40 feet from the door of my apartment complex, and it started drizzling. Another instance of good timing, weather wise.

Actually, what i'm really grateful for today was spending time with my friend. After I moved, I was afraid I wouldn't see my friends in the south bay very often. So I truly cherish the time I have with them, especially when they come all the way up here to visit me. Thanks Julie, I had fun! It would have been fun even if it rained on us.
