11/2 Gratitude: Getting Out the Vote

I'm so grateful that I live in a country where we can all have completely different opinions from each other and we can express them and bring those opinions to action by voting. I loved walking around the city and seeing all the people with their "I Voted" stickers. I loved seeing on Facebook all of my friends who voted. I loved standing in line at 7:56pm and being one of the last persons to vote as they closed the door behind us. This city seems to be pretty passionate about voting and I like that.

Today was an amazingly beautiful fall day. Temperatures in the mid 70s and not a cloud in the sky.

I went to SFMOMA today. I haven't been in that museum for over 15 years. But now I live just a quick skip away and I think I'll go once a month or so.

In addition to timeless pieces from my favorite artists
like this from Diego Rivera...

I'm finding pieces that captivate me:
This one is "Blue Clamp" by Jim Dine.

Then of course, who can resist Pop Art?
Of the King of Pop and his beloved pet.

After voting tonight, I finished up this super cute project that Kristina showed us how to make last night when I got together to craft with my friends. It's simply a terra cotta pot with strips of paper attached to it to form a pumpkin. Fill the center with your favorite sweet treats!

That pumpkin's really cool!
Good luck on your blogging for every day in November. I'm going to try that one of these days, but definitely not this November, as I'm busy packing, tossing garbage, making moving arrangements etc. I move to my new place 19 November, I am SO looking forward to this moving lark to be over. I started getting the house ready for sale back in Feb/March, and it seems like my life has been in uproar ever since!
Hooray for the Giants! I missed watching the last game, was at dance rehearsal.
