Inspired by a Concert Stage

I made this card for Elizabeth because I was inspired by the stage design from the Sugarland concert we went to a few weeks ago.

The main part of the stage looked like this. The round screen would flash various videos or images like winged hearts and whatnot.

I cut the gears out of an old telephone book. Each gear has about 6-8 pages stapled together. I layered them onto tan cardstock stamped with the subtle swirl background on the left in gold acrylic paint and the grid background stamp on the bottom right.

Used red and brown crackle paint on the heart and swirls to give it texture and dimension.

Used a fancy brad in the center of the main gear to create another small focal point besides the heart, and readjusted the layers till I felt everything was balanced. After everything was glued down, I grunged and distressed the edges.

Then layered it into black cardstock to finish.

Super Cool. I loved that you showed a picture of the Sugarland set to see where you found your inspiration.
