Magnificent Fall

The stripped and shapely
Maple grieves
The ghosts of her
Departed leaves.

The ground is hard,
As hard as stone.
The year is old,
The birds are flown.

And yet the world,
In its distress,
Displays a certain
Loveliness.

Atlanta has a lot of catching up to do before we will look like this, Mad. But this IS my favorite time of the year! YAY!

Yup....I agree with John....but more than a certain loveliness.....it is lovely. I took the autumn test last year....it lied.

Beautiful. Mmmmm, autumn is in the air, on the trees and on my mind. I love it.
