Hockey inCalifornia?!?

The Anaheim Ducks won the Stanley Cup tonight! Go West Coast hockey! The Ducks are bringing the Cup to California!

Ok, truth is, I'm not a sports fan. But Jimmy plays the game so by marriage osmosis:
Hockey is my favorite sport!!
This photo is a flashback to 1996. The Hockey Hall of Fame is in Toronto and we went that summer. Jimmy's standing next to the Stanley Cup for a photo op.

Yes, I heard that! Congratulations. My basketball is by osmosis, too. :)

Ha! You're such a fibber, but since you say you're a hockey fan, I guess that means you're going to the Sharks games with me next year after I buy half of Estor's Mike's season tickets!!!

Go Sharks, uh, I mean Ducks. (I really wanted Ottawa to win : .(

Hey Jimmy - Those are some stylin' shorts

Ah...but Ms Phin - I chose my words carefully. I didn't say I was a hockey fan. I said that hockey is my favorite sport. Which is left to interpretation since I don't like sports!
But i'd LOVE to go to a few games with you. Just not all of them, every Tuesday night, standing up at the cold, stinky Valco Ice. Pro hockey with the crowd and fans and lights-music-action baby - so much more entertaining.

Ha! I don't know if you watch CBS Sunday Morning at all, but you and that show are on the same wave length. I watched it last Sunday and saw the Maker's Fair that you posted about and told my hubby "hey! I have a blogging friend who told me all about that!" and then later they had a Bill Geist segment on the Stanley Cup and what do you know I find it here in your blog today. Hee, it is just some sort of psychic connection you got there I think ;)

Yep, I heard about the Sens losing to the Ducks last night. Too bad, cos Ottawa was ready for a big party if we had won. But I hope that this Stanley Cup win will put hockey into a more visible place for Californians. Hockey's Canada's national sport. When I first came to live in Canada, there were only 6 teams: Toronto, Chicago, Boston, Detroit, Montreal, New York. Now they have expanded to many more teams, I have no idea how many.
That's great that you went to the Hockey Hall of Fame in TO, I haven't even been there and I live here!!

Did you know that there are three Stanley Cups, one real one and two fake ones?

Hiya Ex!
Yup, the one Jimmy's next to is definitely a fake. But left that detail out for dramatic effect on my story. hee!! ;) They'd never let us mere mortals next to the real Stanley Cup!
