Leopard Lily

The leopard lily grows wild in the Sierra Nevada's. This bunch is growing in our neighbors front yard. And the big shiny black bee happily pollinates it.
I can't take credit for this photo, Jimmy took it.

Our family has a cabin in the Sierra Nevadas (in an old logging camp way up above Bass Lake). We used to see these lilies (we call them Tiger lilies) all the time growing near the creek but now it's a special treat to find one. One of my favorite flowers for sure!
