Mystic River Drawbridge

A few summers ago, Jimmy and I found ourselves in Mystic, Connecticut, a beautiful seaport town oozing with quaintness. Plus we had some really awesome pizza that was like a slice of heaven. :)
This is the Mystic River Drawbridge. The boats que up at 40 minutes past the hour to pass under. This was the first time I've seen a draw bridge in action.

Great photo! I've been to Mystic too. Adorable little town. For a minute, I was tryin' to figure out how you got from California to Connecticut so quickly - then I realized that you started your post with "summers ago"

Nic pic. But draw bridges scare me. :) I once got stuck in traffic because the draw bridge got stuck up in the air.

As in the movies, "Mystic River" and "Mystic Pizza"?

Isn't this where the movie Mystic Pizza was shot? I love quaint towns like this. So glad you got to see the drawbridge in action...even if it can be scary, like Tim said.

Yes, Mystic Pizza. We ate there, it was yummy!
Haven't seen Mystic River yet...want to...looks like it's really intense. We had it on our list a couple years back, when it first came out, but the list is so long now that some movies keep getting pushed farther and farther down. But Sean Penn is one of our fav actors...he's in it right? I hope I'm remember the right movie. And Tim Robbins? I should IMDB it before I post...but...(click!)

Ah...see...I should have IMDB'd it before clicking...

We did see this. And although I remember it was very intense, I don't remember the details, I had to watch the trailer to remember it.
