From the Coast Highway

Just got home a couple of hours ago from our wonderful road trip to San Diego.

My list of things to do is huge, before considering any work related stuff I might have to get done.
A few of my top priorities:
-Download the photos off of my camera card and make cd's for all the various family members who we visited.
-read all the various blogs I try to visit regularily and return emails and comments from the past several days.
-log the 4 geocaches we found during our trip (including a travel bug!)
-go thru all the TiVo recordings and find a way to free up some space.
-watch all of the season/series finales.

We drove up the Pacific Coast Highway from Morro Bay on our way back home today. Took this photo a few miles south of Big Sur.

Talk about happy memories for you...but for me as well, for all of what I remember of our 12 years in CA years ago (7 in San Diego and 5 in Pasadena). Morro Bay is one of my happiest memories because that's the one place we hunted for sand dollars every day! Glad you had a good trip.

When my husband was in the service we were in CA, and packed six of us into a car to visit Big Sur.

I have vivid memories of wading through a stream holding my husbands hand and watching people swing out over the deeper water on a grapevine and drop. I think it was the prettiest place I've ever been. I hope it's not changed.

Getting away is awesome, but getting home sometimes means a list of chores. Hope you had a great time. So excited that you geocache too!

Ginnie: The CA coast really does leave a memorable impression. Glad you have some, too!

Cate: The California coastline between Morro Bay and Carmel is probably still as prestine and untouched as when you saw it. It's so remote and difficult to get to, plus the few people who live there protect it like gold. I've lived in CA all my life that this was the first time I've driven the coastline from Morro Bay to Carmel. I'm so glad that you have wonderful memories of the area, too!

Ragged: Yea!! I was excited when I saw you geocached, too! A fun way to explore even your own neighborhood and see things you've never seen before. LOVE IT! And...as you can imagine...another chore I had to do immediately was swiffer all the cat fur floating around. LOL!

What a gorgeous shot! The one time I drove that bit of coastline, it was foggy.
